GS Construction selected ChatGPT Enterprise from among various AI tools, prioritizing information security. The company can utilize the AI model without the risk of internal documents or data being leaked, thanks to advanced security features and administrator controls required in enterprise environments.

Prior to the adoption of ChatGPT, five representatives from OpenAI headquarters visited the Grand Seoul headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on August 21 to conduct a workshop focused on discovering ways to enhance and automate work using ChatGPT.

This workshop went beyond simple feature explanations, covering practical topics such as data processing, advanced prompt engineering techniques, and integration with external systems, so that AI could be applied to real business challenges. It also significantly strengthened field-ready AI capabilities that can be immediately implemented at construction sites.

GS Construction plans to jointly identify internal use cases of ChatGPT with OpenAI and expand field-oriented AI applications through hands-on training for employees. In addition, early next month, the company will launch the "GPT Champion Program" in collaboration with OpenAI, aiming to develop employees into AI experts and focus on discovering AI use cases that can solve real-world business problems.

GS Construction intends to sequentially advance the use of ChatGPT for a range of field-centric topics, from technical and contract reviews to the analysis of design drawings, estimates, and budget reviews for complex tasks, as well as early detection of safety and equipment issues.

A GS Construction representative stated, "We will not simply adopt AI, but will utilize it in ways that directly enhance safety and productivity at actual construction sites. Through AI, we aim to advance complex work processes and accelerate the pace of innovation in the field."

GS Construction CEO Huh Yunhong emphasized at the executive workshop in the first quarter of this year, "AI is no longer a matter of choice; it is a matter of survival for adapting to and leading in a changing environment." Based on the introduction of ChatGPT and collaboration with OpenAI, GS Construction plans to continuously expand its AI-driven work innovation model.
