Bebecusa is a specialized company that has accumulated experience in the food and beverage industry starting in New York and is currently operating its own quick service restaurant brands. Following the master franchise agreement, representatives from Bebecusa plan to participate in the MF business program training at Chicken University in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to further enhance their expertise and competitiveness in overall operations together with their partner, aiming to establish an early foothold in the local market and lay the foundation for long-term growth.
Colombia is located at the northwestern tip of South America and is the second most populous country in the region, with approximately 53.4 million residents. As an emerging economy with growing tourism and innovation industries, demand for dining out and global brands is rapidly increasing, particularly among the younger population. Colombia shares a border with Panama, where BBQ entered in 2023, and is considered a key strategic location for connecting North, Central, and South America, as well as a core area for expanding the Americas belt.
Currently, BBQ has a presence in 57 countries worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Panama, Costa Rica, and the Bahamas. With this contract in Colombia, the company plans to accelerate its entry into the South American market.
Chairman Yoon Honggeun stated, "Colombia is a strategic bridgehead connecting Central and South America and is a key market for accelerating the global expansion of K-Food. We will continue to spread the taste and culture of K-Food throughout South America and further establish BBQ as a beloved brand worldwide."
