Excellence Awards in Hackathon and Short-Form Contest
Demonstrating the Success of Convergence Talent Development
The Global Symbiotic Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development (HUSS) Project Group at Sunmoon University has demonstrated the success of its "convergence talent development" program by consecutively winning excellence awards in both the hackathon and short-form contest at a humanities and social sciences convergence camp, which was attended by university students from across the country.
On August 26, Sunmoon University announced that it had won a total of three excellence awards (Korea Research Foundation Chairman's Award) at the "2025 Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development Project Convergence Camp," hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation.
This camp, held from August 18 to 20 at Gonjiam Resort, brought together more than 500 university students from over 50 universities nationwide.
Sunmoon University students stood out by winning excellence awards with two teams (Eco Viewers Team and We Pet Team) advancing to the hackathon finals, as well as with the short-form contest entry "University Students Revitalize the City."
Jung Doseop, head of the HUSS Project Group, stated, "It is highly significant that our students have achieved results on a national stage," and added, "We will continue to nurture talents who create social value by integrating humanities and social wisdom with advanced technology."
