In the weekly men's golf world rankings announced on August 25 (local time), he earned 5.67 points and rose four spots from 10th place last week. He accumulated ranking points by claiming his first-ever victory at the Tour Championship, the final event of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs (total prize money of $40 million), held the previous day at East Lake Golf Club (par 70, 7,440 yards) in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
