Gijang County, Busan to Install Temporary Boundary Markers and Conduct On-Site Inspections for Cadastral Resurvey Project

Expanding Resident Participation and Preventing Boundary Disputes
Strengthening Protection of Landowners' Property Rights

Gijang County (County Governor Jung Jongbok) will begin installing temporary boundary markers and conducting on-site inspections starting on August 25 to ensure smooth progress of the cadastral resurvey project and guarantee resident participation in the process of determining land boundaries.

The areas designated for the installation of these temporary boundary markers are Jukseong District 3 (112 parcels, 28,979 square meters) and Wollae District 1 (116 parcels, 15,336 square meters).

Based on the results of the cadastral resurvey, the exact boundary locations for each parcel will be clearly marked on-site to allow landowners and stakeholders to directly verify and provide their opinions.

The temporary boundary markers will serve as provisional references before the final boundary confirmation and play a crucial role in helping residents easily understand the boundary status and prevent land disputes.

During the installation period, the county will send out resident notices and conduct on-site visits in parallel, actively gathering feedback from the community.

County Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "Once land boundaries are clearly established, not only will disputes be prevented, but the protection of residents' property rights and the efficiency of cadastral administration will be greatly enhanced. I ask for the active interest and cooperation of all residents to ensure the smooth progress of the cadastral resurvey project."

After the installation of the temporary boundary markers, the county will finalize the boundaries through the Boundary Decision Committee. If there are any changes in parcel area, the Cadastral Resurvey Committee will calculate and either pay or collect adjustment payments as necessary.
