A Blueprint for the Future Smart Home Beyond Next-Generation Kitchen Experiences
German premium home appliance brand Miele will unveil its vision for next-generation kitchen experiences and the future of smart homes at IFA 2025, the world's largest home appliance exhibition.
On August 25, Miele announced that it will introduce innovative new products under the theme "Imagine the Future" at IFA 2025, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, starting September 5. Miele plans to focus on the latest trends in connected homes and next-generation kitchen experiences, while especially presenting a blueprint for the smart home of the future through differentiated product design and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features.
Miele has announced the upcoming release of new products, including the Triflex HX3 Pro Aqua cordless vacuum cleaner with a mop cleaning function, the MasterCool III series of large premium refrigerators and freezers that allow users to check the interior via built-in cameras, and the Downdraft Hood lineup, which combines efficiency and aesthetics.
In addition, the company aims to demonstrate innovation in premium appliances by presenting a vision for sustainability through AI-based smart cooking solutions and an eco-friendly exhibition booth concept that incorporates recycled materials and a modular lightweight structure.
The Triflex HX3 Pro Aqua is an all-rounder model that combines powerful suction with a mop cleaning function. According to Miele, it offers 99.99% dust removal performance, up to 70 minutes of battery life, and powerful cleaning with the Aqua Twister Pro nozzle. The rotating pad and integrated water tank allow for fast and hygienic cleaning of large areas, while the 360-degree light strip helps users detect even invisible dust. Most notably, Miele emphasized that the PowerUnit-an integrated motor, battery, and dustbin-can be used independently, providing up to 70 minutes of battery life and reducing the limitations of cordless vacuum cleaners.
The new MasterCool III series features cameras that capture real-time images of the refrigerator’s interior, which can be checked via the Miele@home app. The FoodView function, which allows users to monitor the inside from anywhere at any time through up to four built-in cameras, enhances convenience in managing ingredients and reduces food waste, thereby supporting sustainability.

At this exhibition, Miele will also introduce its kitchen innovation solution called "Next Level Cooking." A representative product is the downdraft hood lineup, which offers powerful yet energy-efficient ventilation performance. The new model smoothly rises with a touch of the panel to provide an optimized cooking environment and retracts seamlessly into the countertop when not in use, maintaining a clean kitchen at all times.
Miele also plans to showcase various AI-based features designed for daily convenience. The brand philosophy is that "technology should adapt to people, not the other way around." A prime example is the Smart Food ID function, which uses a built-in oven camera to automatically recognize dishes and execute the optimal cooking process. The Nutrition Assistant, which suggests personalized diets, and the Cooking Companion, which guides users step-by-step through recipes, are designed to reflect users' preferences and health data.
Christian Goebl, Executive Vice President of Global Key Accounts and Export at Miele, stated at the IFA opening event held in Berlin last month, "The future envisioned by Miele is a home that thinks for itself and a space that makes customers' daily lives noticeably more convenient. The new product portfolio to be unveiled at IFA 2025 will present new possibilities for smart homes and further solidify Miele's leadership in the premium market, so please look forward to it."
