Damyang County Hosts "Booknic" Event Amidst Nature Damyang County held a reading culture event called "Booknic" under the theme "Resting in the Damyang Forest, One Book" over two days from the 22nd to the 23rd at three locations: the fountain plaza in front of Juknokwon, Gwanbangjerim, and Yangmaejae area. Damyang County in South Jeolla Province, led by County Governor Jeong Cheolwon, announced on August 25 that it had held the "Booknic" event under the theme "Resting in the Damyang Forest, One Book" over two days from the 22nd to the 23rd to promote a reading culture.


The purpose of this event was to expand the reading culture in harmony with Damyang's natural surroundings by operating spaces where visitors could read and share books using donated and unused books.


The event took place at three locations-the fountain plaza in front of Juknokwon, Gwanbangjerim, and the Yangmaejae area-from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and was open to both tourists and local residents.


Jeong Cheolwon, Governor of Damyang County, stated, "This Booknic event, which blended books and nature, provided both tourists and residents with a relaxing and meaningful reading experience. We will continue to promote a variety of cultural events that highlight the unique characteristics of our region."
