"100 Billion KRW Saved Compared to Other Solutions"... LG CNS Unveils Agentic AI Platform (Comprehensive)

Press Conference Held on the 25th: Launch of 'AgenticWorks'
Automation through Integration with Corporate Data and Systems
Enhancing Work Efficiency and Productivity... Targeting Overseas Markets

LG CNS has launched 'AgenticWorks,' a subscription-based platform that enables companies to create and operate agentic AI by leveraging its experience and expertise in supporting enterprise AI transformation. Starting with LG Group affiliates, the company plans to target external clients and eventually expand into overseas markets. AgenticWorks is a platform that allows employees to directly create 'smart AI colleagues' that integrate with corporate data and systems to assist with tasks such as HR and finance, thereby enhancing work efficiency.

On August 25, LG CNS held a press conference at LG Science Park in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to introduce AgenticWorks. In his welcoming speech, Hyun Shinkyun, President of LG CNS, emphasized, "What companies need is not just the partial adoption of AI agents, but a system that organically connects and operates AI agents with enterprise systems from a company-wide perspective," adding, "This can dramatically boost corporate productivity."

While conventional 'AI agents' have been intelligent systems that automatically perform specific tasks, 'agentic AI' refers to autonomous systems that can independently plan, execute tasks according to objectives, and coordinate multiple agents. For example, if a company develops an 'HR-specialized agentic AI service' using AgenticWorks, the system can automatically analyze tens of thousands of submitted resumes, aptitude test data, and existing HR documents during large-scale recruitment to recommend suitable candidates and even generate customized interview questions for each applicant.

AgenticWorks consists of six modules, including a 'Knowledge Repository' for data preprocessing, a 'Builder' for creating agents and AI tools, and a 'Hub' for real-time monitoring, incident analysis, and response. Companies can select and use only the functions they require.

Eunyeong Lim, Head of GenAI Business at LG CNS, explained, "We designed the platform so that not only business users without AI expertise but also AI professionals can easily develop, deploy, and operate agent services," adding, "It is possible to change rapidly evolving generative AI models at any time, compare their performance, and apply them to existing AI services."

The platform supports a variety of high-performance AI models, such as 'Exaone' developed by LG AI Research and a reasoning-based large language model (LLM) co-developed with global AI leader Cohere. Based on the expertise accumulated from over 500 AI transformation projects, LG CNS has enhanced its industry-specific capabilities. AgenticWorks is offered as a subscription product, allowing companies to store data in either cloud or on-premises environments. The initial focus is on LG Group affiliates and large corporate clients, with plans to expand into overseas markets in the future.

Additionally, LG CNS introduced 'AXThink,' a solution for innovating common tasks of employees such as scheduling, meetings, emails, and translation/interpretation. Key features of AXThink include a daily briefing that summarizes important emails, schedules, and tasks and delivers them via voice guidance; processing necessary tasks such as approvals after the briefing; automatically registering meeting schedules after email summarization; real-time translation and interpretation during meetings followed by the creation, summarization, and sharing of meeting minutes and task registration; and automatic report generation based on internal and external knowledge searches.

For example, if a user requests in natural language, "Based on today's meeting minutes, prepare a business trip proposal for next week and add it to the weekly report," the agentic AI will independently instruct the approval and document management agents and perform the tasks in conjunction with the corporate system.

LG Display has improved its daily work productivity by about 10% on average using AXThink compared to before, and has achieved annual cost savings of over 10 billion KRW compared to adopting similar external solutions. The company aims to improve work productivity by more than 30% within the next three years.

Seungchan Lee, Head of Digital AX at LG CNS, stated, "Technological advancement alone cannot bring about changes in user behavior," adding, "It is a long journey to ultimately change the way people work by continuously exposing customers to positive AI utilization experiences in areas they find challenging." He also said, "We aim to realize an AX work environment where agent AI services oversee and autonomously execute all tasks."

President Hyun stated, "In line with the AI era, LG CNS aims to contribute to the Korean economy, and subsequently the global economy, by launching platforms and services that enable companies to adopt AI in the easiest and most accurate way possible."
