Jeongeup City Accepting Additional Applications for 'Small Business Stability Support Fund'

Jeongeup Sarang Gift Certificate Worth 500,000 Won
To Be Distributed Sequentially in October

Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province will accept additional applications for the 'Small Business Stability Support Fund' from those who have not yet applied, until September 12.

According to the city on August 25, this support program is a pledge project of the 8th popularly elected administration, with a focus on strengthening the resilience of small business owners whose business environment has deteriorated due to rising prices, increased labor costs, and an economic slowdown.

Applications can be submitted at the administrative welfare centers in the town, township, or neighborhood where the business is located. The support will be provided in the form of a 500,000 won Jeongeup Sarang gift certificate, and after eligibility is verified, payments will be made sequentially in October.

Eligible applicants must have their registered address in Jeongeup City, and their business must also be located in Jeongeup City. Last year's sales must not exceed 100 million won, and in the case of co-representatives (including corporations), only one representative can receive the support.

Those who had no sales last year or whose business is closed or suspended as of the announcement date are excluded. Non-profit businesses, industries excluded from small business policy funds, and industries designated by Jeongeup City as ineligible, such as solar power generation and e-commerce, are also not eligible. Those who received the first round of support cannot receive duplicate support.

Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "Many small business owners are enduring difficult times," and added, "I hope this support gives them a chance to catch their breath. We will continue to expand on-the-ground support to help the local economy recover."

Meanwhile, in the first round of support this year, the city provided a total of 2 billion won to 4,000 recipients. The city plans to quickly complete the disbursement based on the results of the additional applications and aims to further enhance the virtuous cycle of local consumption.
