Genesis and Hyundai Top U.S. Tech Experience Index
Recognized for World-Class Innovation and User Convenience
Genesis and Hyundai have been recognized for their world-class technological capabilities, securing the top spots in the U.S. new car advanced technology satisfaction survey.
On August 22 (local time), U.S. market research firm J.D. Power announced that in the "2025 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study," Genesis (538 points) ranked first overall and first among premium brands, surpassing leading global automakers, while Hyundai (493 points) ranked first among mass-market brands.
Genesis achieved the highest score of 538 points among both luxury and mass-market brands, maintaining its position as the top overall brand for five consecutive years. Hyundai scored 493 points, securing the top spot among mass-market brands for the sixth consecutive year.
The TXI study surveyed consumers who purchased 2025 model year new cars, conducting the survey 90 days after vehicle ownership. The study was carried out from March 2024 to February 2025.
The survey evaluates each brand's level of innovation and user convenience for new technologies by asking customers to rate their satisfaction, on a 1,000-point scale, with over 40 technologies across four categories: convenience, emerging automation, energy and sustainability, and infotainment and connectivity.
This result is known to complement J.D. Power's major studies, such as the Initial Quality Study (IQS) and the Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.
Additionally, the Genesis GV80 and Hyundai Santa Fe were selected as vehicles with the best technologies in the TXI "Advanced Technology Awards." The Genesis GV80 was recognized as the top vehicle in the connected car category for the convenience of its Genesis Digital Key 2, which allows users to easily control the vehicle with a smartphone.
The Hyundai Santa Fe received the highest evaluation in the connected car technology category for the second consecutive year thanks to its digital key feature, and was also highly rated in the driver assistance category for its Blind-Spot View Monitor, which provides enhanced visibility and confidence during lane changes.
A Hyundai Motor Group representative stated, "This award demonstrates that Hyundai Motor Group's technology is seamlessly integrated into the driving experience," adding, "We will continue to strive to meet customer needs to the fullest by developing innovative technologies and applying them to more vehicles."
