On August 22, the city held a homecoming report meeting at the Lifelong Learning Center's main conference room, attended by more than 30 participants, including students and parents.

Seventeen students from six high schools in Mungyeong participated in the program, visiting Ivy League universities and major research institutions in the eastern United States for 12 days and 10 nights, from July 29 to August 9.

During their global cultural and academic field experience, the students toured world-class educational institutions such as Harvard University, Yale University, and MIT, experiencing firsthand the culture of open debate and cutting-edge research environments. At the report meeting, participants presented their findings in teams and shared their personal reflections, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere.

Park Jihee, a student from Mungyeong Girls' High School, said during her presentation, "Encountering the vast library resources and research facilities at Harvard University reignited my academic passion. Observing the culture of open debate and the interaction among students of various ethnic backgrounds taught me to be more accepting of different cultures. This tour has helped me clarify my future goals."

Shin Hyunguk, Mayor of Mungyeong, stated, "High school is the period when students contemplate their future paths most deeply. I hope this experience becomes a turning point in their lives. Mungyeong City will continue to support global competency programs so that our youth can experience a broader world."

This study tour is being evaluated as more than just a university visit; it provided Mungyeong's youth with an opportunity to broaden their perspectives and plan their futures on a global stage. Building on this, Mungyeong City plans to expand educational and cultural support to help local talent grow into global leaders.
