Over 1,000 Participants Enjoy a Refreshing Summer Festival in Yecheon
The summer in Yecheon County, North Gyeongsang Province has been filled with bubbles and music.
The Bubble Run event in Yecheon Provincial Government New Town is cooling down the lingering summer heat.
On August 23, Yecheon County (Governor Kim Hakdong) announced that the "2025 Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town Bubble Run" was held with great success at the Family Park Water Playground in the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town.
More than 1,000 participants gathered for this event, cooling off from the heat and enjoying a midsummer festival. The "Bubble Party," where everyone could immerse themselves in the fun, was held in two parts, each featuring a variety of activities.
In the first part, hands-on programs that stimulated all five senses were offered, including the Bubble Run Magic Show, a water gun battle between the Bubble Team and the Run Team, an AI face and voice matching game, and a QR code treasure hunt. The event was especially lively thanks to the enthusiastic participation of children and teenagers.
The second part of the event was even more dynamic. It kicked off with a powerful dance performance, followed by a stage featuring hip-hop, vocal, and saxophone performances. During the EDM and live DJing shows, citizens jumped and danced together in streams of water, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
The AI Experience Zone and various interactive booths set up throughout the festival grounds also attracted significant attention. Activities such as "AI Life Four-Cut Photos," which generates images using artificial intelligence, "AI Personal Color," which analyzes skin tone and eye color, and digital printing tattoo experiences captured the curiosity of a wide range of participants, from children to adults.
A participant, Mr. Park (38, Homyeong-myeon, Yecheon County), said, "I came with my children, and we had a great time because we could enjoy not only water play but also AI experiences as a family."
Kim Hakdong, Governor of Yecheon County, emphasized, "Bubble Run is a festival where the whole family can enjoy themselves and relieve daily stress during the hot summer. We will continue to develop it as a signature summer festival for the Provincial Government New Town."
