◆ Ensuring Festival Success and Spreading the Culture of Giving

During the event period, anyone who donates 100,000 won or more to Sangju City through the Hometown Love e-Eum website or at any NH Nonghyup Bank branch nationwide will be automatically entered into a drawing. Fifty donors will be selected to receive additional gifts of grape juice and apple juice, which are among Sangju’s most popular local specialties. Through this event, the city aims to promote the purpose of the Hometown Love Donation System among citizens and to foster a sense of collective participation in wishing for the festival’s success.

◆ "The Festival is the Face of Sangju... Growing Together with a Culture of Giving"

A city official emphasized, "The World Mother and Child Festival is not just an event, but a symbolic stage for Sangju to emerge as a cultural city on the world stage. We hope this event will inspire both local residents and those originally from Sangju to support the city and help make the culture of giving part of everyday life."

◆ Hometown Love Donation System: A Catalyst for Balanced Regional Development

The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate up to 20 million won per year to local governments other than their registered address. Donors receive tax deductions and can also receive gifts worth up to 30% of their donation amount.

This system goes beyond simple tax benefits; it serves as an important catalyst for balanced regional development and for strengthening local government finances.

Through this event, Sangju is determined to revitalize the system, energize the local economy, and create a virtuous cycle that leads to the festival’s success.

◆ The World Mother and Child Festival Connects Sangju to the World

Scheduled to be held from September 26 to 28, the Sangju World Mother and Child Festival is the only global festival in Korea that brings together mother and child cultures from around the world. With programs that combine fashion, performances, hands-on experiences, and exhibitions, the festival attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, greatly enhancing Sangju’s cultural status and boosting the local economy.

This year’s festival, in particular, is expected to present a new participation model by linking the Hometown Love Donation event, allowing people to "enjoy the festival while supporting their hometown."
