Completion of 700-Hour Training Program
Visiting Nurse Assistants Expected to Demonstrate Expertise
in Elderly and Community Care Settings
The Lifelong Education Center at Gyeongnam Information College held the 11th graduation ceremony for the Visiting Nurse Assistant Training Program on August 19 at the college's IT Building, awarding certificates of completion to a total of 29 trainees.

The ceremony was attended by Jo Yundeuk, Director of the Lifelong Education Center, Kim Geumok, President of the Busan Nursing Assistant Association, Hwang Yunhee, Secretary-General, Kang Eunhee, Head of the Faculty, Jeong Kyungsun, Head of the Department of Nursing, as well as dedicated faculty members for the visiting nurse program, all of whom encouraged the trainees for their hard work.
The 11th cohort of graduates faithfully completed a total of 700 hours of training, including 360 hours of theory, 100 hours of lab practice, and 240 hours of hospital and public health center practice.
After graduation, they will work as visiting nurse assistants under the Long-Term Care Insurance Act for the Elderly, providing a range of services such as nursing, medical assistance, and care counseling by visiting the homes of beneficiaries.
With the implementation of the "Integrated Regional Care Support Act for Medical and Care Services," scheduled for March 2026, the demand for and role of visiting nurse personnel is expected to further expand as local government-led care programs become more active.
Jo Yundeuk, Director of the Lifelong Education Center, said, "I am grateful for the passion and sense of duty shown by the trainees who completed more than 700 hours of training," adding, "I hope you will fully demonstrate your expertise and skills in the field."
