At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Floor Leader Kim stated, "Fake information is a serious issue that threatens democracy and social safety."

He added, "We will establish the principle of fact-checking institutionally and hold those who violate this principle and spread fake information fully accountable," and mentioned, "As part of this, we will actively consider introducing punitive damages."

He also said, "We will establish standards for corrections of news articles based on fake information," and added, "While considering the seriousness of fake information, corrections must follow the principle of being published on the same page and in the same length as the original article."

Regarding prosecution reform, he said, "The party and government have presented a concrete two-stage roadmap," and added, "The disgraceful prosecution office will disappear into history." He continued, "On the 25th of next month, we will pass the Government Organization Act and ensure that the newly established agencies, such as the Serious Crimes Investigation Agency and the Prosecution Agency, can take root properly by thoroughly preparing follow-up legislation."
