[Market Focus] Robotis, Specialized in Humanoid Actuators, Surges Over 13%

On this day, Hyundai Motor Securities stated, "Actuators in the robotics industry are like graphics processing units (GPUs) in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry," maintaining a buy recommendation and setting a target price of 100,000 won for Robotis. Actuators are components used in robot joints and mobility devices, consisting of a single module that includes a motor, reducer, controller, and communication functions.

Park Junyoung, a researcher at Hyundai Motor Securities, said, "The most significant investment point is the actuator technology specialized for humanoids and the ability to customize actuators." He emphasized, "In a situation where it is still undecided who will dominate the humanoid market, the companies that can benefit from this competition are undoubtedly those that produce actuators, which are common components and account for about 70% of the production cost of humanoids."

He added, "This is similar to how Nvidia's GPUs are the biggest beneficiaries among numerous AI companies. While Nvidia has already established dominance in the GPU market, there are still many opportunities in the market for actuators used in humanoids."
