GMB Korea develops and manufactures automotive powertrain components that require ultra-precision and high functionality, exporting them to over 35 countries through eco-friendly vehicle technologies. In particular, the company is growing as a global enterprise and shaping the future of eco-friendly mobility with its electrification components and thermal management technologies.

Recently, as part of the additional Gyeongnam RISE project, GMB Korea has been working on the "Development of a 2kW-class Electric Cooling Pump and Reliability Technology Research for 800Vdc High-Voltage Thermal Management System for Future Mobility." To support this research and development, Kyungnam University's master's students Baek Jinchan and Kim Yeonhee have been selected for the recruitment agreement.

Through this agreement, the two master's students will be engaged in high-voltage circuit analysis and simulation modeling, model-based design control software design and verification, as well as analysis and comparison of sensorless techniques.

Park Youngsik, Vice President of GMB Korea, stated, "It is meaningful to enter into a recruitment agreement for research positions such as digital twin-based CAE design analysis with talent nurtured through Kyungnam University's practical work-based education, establishing a virtuous cycle model for nurturing and supplying regionally tailored talent."

Choi Sunwook, Head of the RISE Project Group, commented, "This recruitment agreement will contribute to the mutual growth and development of the region through the training and supply of talent needed by local companies, and will help create an environment where highly skilled individuals can settle in the area."

The event was attended by 15 people, including Choi Sunwook, Head of the RISE Project Group at Kyungnam University, Park Youngsik, Vice President of GMB Korea, Park Jongwon, Executive Director, and Ha Jeongsu, Section Chief of Gyeongsangnam-do. Two researchers who were hired by GMB Korea through the previous RISE pilot project also attended and shared their experiences with Kyungnam University's work-based education program linked to recruitment.
