Top Players Including This Season's LPGA Winners Lydia Ko and Minjee Lee to Compete
Hana Financial Group announced on August 22 that it will conduct advance sales of gallery tickets for the KLPGA regular tour "Hana Financial Group Championship," which will be held at Bears Best Cheongna Golf Club in Cheongna, Incheon, from September 18 to 21. Advance ticket sales will run until September 17.
Celebrating its seventh edition this year, the "Hana Financial Group Championship" marks the beginning of autumn every September, bringing together golf fans and offering not only high-level matches by top domestic and international players but also a variety of entertainment. Notably, as the largest event representing the KLPGA regular tour, it has established itself as a premier tournament in Asia, maintaining stable operations and continued popularity beyond Korea.
This year's "Hana Financial Group Championship" will feature a large number of players, including world-class star athletes sponsored by Hana Financial Group, as well as those who represent the present and future of women's golf in the Asia-Pacific region.
First, Lydia Ko, ranked third in the world women's golf rankings and the youngest-ever inductee into the Hall of Fame, will participate as a Hana Financial Group-sponsored player. Lydia Ko achieved her 23rd career LPGA victory by winning the HSBC Women's World Championship in February.
In addition, Minjee Lee, one of the most prominent players and having the best season of her career this year, will also participate as a Hana Financial Group-sponsored athlete. Minjee Lee won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, an LPGA major, in June and received the "Rolex Annika Major Award," given to players with consistently outstanding performances in the five women's golf majors. This marks her second time receiving the award, following 2022, making her the first player ever to win it twice.
Both Lydia Ko and Minjee Lee are LPGA superstars who each need just one more major win to complete a career Grand Slam, and are expected to showcase their best performances as they aim for their first victory at their sponsor's tournament.
Jaravee Boonchant of Thailand, a Hana Financial Group-sponsored player and a rookie on the KLPGA regular tour as an International Tour (I-Tour) member this year, will compete for the best result on the Korean stage for the second consecutive year. In addition, Ji Yuai of China, the reigning CLPGA Tour money leader with four career wins, will make her debut at her sponsor's tournament as a Hana Financial Group-sponsored player.
As top domestic and international stars will gather for this "Hana Financial Group Championship," the event is expected to serve as a stage to witness the growth of women's golf in the Asia-Pacific region.
Gallery tickets for this tournament can be purchased in advance until September 17 through Hana Bank's main mobile app "Hana One Q." Weekday day passes are priced at 20,000 won, and weekend day passes at 30,000 won. Anyone can easily and conveniently purchase tickets after signing up for "Hana One Q," even without a Hana Bank account.
Customers who purchase tickets in advance through "Hana One Q" using a Hana Card will receive a 30% discount, regardless of their previous month's spending or whether they use a credit or debit card. Customers who purchase tickets on-site with a Hana Card will receive a 20% discount. Additionally, residents of Incheon Metropolitan City (based on their registered address) can enjoy the event at a 20% discounted price at the venue, and preschool children with a birth certificate can enter free of charge.
The "Bears Best Cheongna Golf Club," the venue for this tournament, is just a two-minute walk from Cheongna International City Station (Hana Financial Town) on the Airport Railroad, making it easy to access the event by public transportation. To promote an environmentally friendly ECO event, Hana Financial Group will offer free admission to gallery members who use the Airport Railroad to reach the venue.
During the tournament, Hana Financial Group will set up the country's largest gallery plaza at the Hana Global Campus Square in Hana Financial Town. Visitors can enjoy a variety of foods from food trucks, and ice cream will be distributed to gallery members visiting the venue in the hot weather. In addition, various amenities such as a kids' zone and event spaces will be available for families, and events such as autograph sessions with participating players will be held for golf fans.
