Innobiz Association Signs MOU with Chinese Innovation Platform "36Kr-KSI"

Establishing a Launchpad for Innobiz Companies in China
Strengthening Global Competitiveness Through Expanded Cooperation
Shared Office Hubs and Local Support for Innovative Firms

The Innobiz Association announced on August 21 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with 36Kr-KSI for the development of innovative technology companies at a government agency conference room in Haidian District, Beijing, China on August 20.


36Kr-KSI is a platform under 36Kr Holdings, which was established in 2010 and is recognized by the Chinese government as a leading innovation and startup ecosystem institution. Based on a network of more than one million companies and investors, it provides a wide range of services, including investment, incubation, media, consulting, and shared office spaces.

The signing ceremony was attended by key executives from the association, including Innobiz Association President Jung Gwangcheon, Global Committee Chairman Lim Hyungtaek, Vice President Jang Hyunju, and AI Committee Vice Chairman Baek Seonguk. On the Chinese side, 36Kr-KSI CEO Dong Bo, as well as officials from the Beijing municipal and Haidian district governments, participated to reaffirm their commitment to cooperation.


Under the agreement, the two organizations will jointly promote a variety of support programs, including expanding exchanges between Innobiz companies and Chinese innovation firms, providing free access and rental discounts to shared office spaces owned by 36Kr-KSI in Beijing, establishing a dedicated online consultation channel for Korean companies, and supporting local settlement.


The association also installed a "Korea Innobiz Association" plaque at six 36Kr-KSI shared offices in Beijing. Specifically, these locations include the Xueyuan 8th Office, Sanlitun Office, University Road Office, Zhongguancun Startup Street Office, Zhongguancun AI Beiwei Office, and Xiangdi Office. These sites will serve as hubs where Innobiz companies can freely use the facilities and establish a local presence.


President Jung Gwangcheon stated, "This agreement has established a stable foundation for Innobiz companies to enter the Chinese market," and added, "We will further expand cooperation models between innovative companies in both countries to strengthen global competitiveness."
