According to the business community on the 21st, Chairman Lee will join the economic delegation for the Korea-US summit. Since opening its first office in Los Angeles in 1978, CJ has invested approximately 8 trillion won across seven sectors, including food. The company now employs about 12,000 people locally.

CJ has also expanded its presence in the cultural industry. The group entered the global stage in 1995 by investing in DreamWorks, and in 2022, it acquired the US production company Fifth Season (formerly Endeavor Content), establishing a multi-studio system. The K-culture festival 'KCON,' which began in 2012, has attracted a cumulative audience of over 2.22 million, becoming a symbolic stage for the spread of Hallyu in the United States.
