Prize Giveaways and Lucky Draws to Celebrate the Anniversary
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghun) announced on August 21 that it will hold a celebratory festival to thank customers for their support on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.
Gwangju Shinsegae, which opened on August 25, 1995, has prepared a variety of events under the theme "SHINSEGAE LOVES GWANGJU," reflecting its appreciation for the local community.
Gwangju Shinsegae will hold an event for purchasing customers, offering various prizes including a gold bar.
Customers can apply through the "Shinsegae" app's reward participation tab. The event is open to Shinbaek Members who make combined brand purchases of 50,000 won or more with a Shinsegae partner card on the same day.
The event runs from August 21 to September 14. A total of 30 winners will be selected: one person will receive a 100g limited edition Gwangju Shinsegae gold bar, two will receive a 100% reward participation ticket worth up to 3 million reward points, three will receive up to 300,000 reward points, and 24 will receive up to 30,000 reward points. Winners can check the app coupon box on September 17.
In particular, the limited edition gold bar was produced in collaboration with renowned local media artist Lee Lee-nam to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gwangju Shinsegae, adding special significance.
A lucky draw event will also be held. On the Shinsegae app event page, customers will receive Shinbaek Reward participation tickets for 30%, 20%, 10%, or 7% of their purchase amount, depending on how much they spend.
When making a purchase, if customers present their Shinbaek Reward coupon, they will receive Shinbaek Reward points equivalent to the corresponding percentage of their purchase amount. The participation period is from August 21 to 27, and winners can check the coupon box on September 1.
From August 21 to 31, Shinbaek Members who make qualifying purchases with Shinsegae partner cards (Citi/Samsung/Shinhan/Hana/BC Baro) will also be eligible for a reward event offering up to 7% Shinbaek Reward points.
Customers who spend 300,000, 600,000, or 1,000,000 won or more will receive 20,000, 40,000, or 70,000 Shinbaek Reward points, respectively. The reward points are valid for three months from the date of accrual and can be managed via the My Wallet and Reward & Mileage tabs in the Shinsegae app.
Additionally, from August 21 for 10 days, 30 selected items will be offered at special prices under the theme "HOT PRICE 30" to thank customers for their support over the past 30 years. Thirty popular items from well-known brands have been carefully selected and will be available at reasonable prices.
In the Food Market on Basement Level 1 of the main building, "Haenam Songho Village Live Abalone" (2kg) will be sold for 45,000 won, Grade 1 sirloin (100g) for 11,200 won, and Campbell grapes (1kg) for 15,800 won, all on a first-come, first-served basis.
To celebrate the anniversary, the Wine House on the first floor of the main building will offer "Robert Mondavi" Chardonnay Napa Valley 2018 (750ml) for 65,000 won, limited to 30 bottles.
Unhyeongung, which is also celebrating its 30th anniversary with Gwangju Shinsegae, will offer the "Semi Liana Set (comforter + pad)" at a special price of 78,000 won. Other limited-time special offers include "CC Collect" eco-leather Bermuda shorts for 65,700 won, Blue Dog long-sleeve T-shirts for 30,000 won, and "Renoma Shirts" for 30,000 won.
At Play Spot (formerly the new building), customers can find "Levi's" jeans for 59,000 won and "Mark Gonzales Kids" Angel Preppy Cardigans for 39,500 won at special discounted prices.
In addition, a group purchase event will be held until August 31. Customers can apply for each item, and if the required number of participants is reached, they can purchase the item at a reasonable price. If the minimum number of applicants is not met, refunds will be issued.
Group purchase items include the "Baken by Scapschult 7-piece set" for 152,000 won (30 sets), "DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo" for 1,696,100 won (10 sets), "Dyson Airwrap i.d Multi Styler & Dryer" for 614,050 won (20 sets), "Crispy Baba Marilight Wool Comforter" for 150,000 won (50 sets), and "Bricknine Terra Porcelain Dining Set (Table + 4 Chairs)" for 4,412,500 won (10 sets).
As each group purchase item is limited in quantity and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, customers are encouraged to apply quickly if there is an item they have been interested in.
To further reward more customers, SNS events will also be held. First, from August 21 to 31, customers who capture the mini-game posted on the official Gwangju Shinsegae Instagram account and leave a congratulatory comment will be entered into a draw to win F&B vouchers for 30 people.
Additionally, from September 1 to 14, customers who follow the official Gwangju Shinsegae Instagram account, post about the event, tag a friend, and leave a congratulatory comment will be entered into a draw for prizes.
Prizes include a "Rawrow" 27-inch suitcase (1 winner), a 20-inch suitcase (1 winner), "Acqua di Parma Diffuser" (2 winners), "Odense Cutlery Set" (16 winners), and "Starbucks gift certificates" (10 winners).
