Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) announced on the 21st that it will hold the '2025 Gwangju Urban Railway Stamp Tour' from August 25 to September 7, aiming to revitalize local alley businesses and promote the use of public transportation.

This stamp tour is open to all citizens using the Gwangju subway. Participants can choose any two out of four stations-Gwangju Songjeong Station, Yangdong Market Station, Geumnamno 4-ga Station, and Namgwangju Station-located near major traditional markets in Gwangju, and complete missions at those locations.

Those wishing to participate simply need to visit any two of the four stations of their choice and collect a stamp at each. Additionally, by presenting a receipt for a purchase of at least 20,000 won at a traditional market or alley shop near one of the two stations to a station staff member and receiving the final stamp, the mission is completed.

The first 150 participants to complete the mission will receive a folding umbrella as a souvenir. Those who take part in an on-site satisfaction survey will also receive a shopping bag as an additional gift.

The corporation plans to use this stamp tour to encourage local residents to visit traditional markets and stimulate consumption, thereby injecting vitality into the stagnant local economy.

An official from the corporation stated, "By linking the urban railway with traditional markets, we expect this event to help revitalize the alley economy. We will continue to promote various citizen participation programs for the local community in the future."
