[Featured Stock] Topco Media Rises as New Webtoon Debuts at No. 1 on Japan's LINE Manga

Topco Media is showing strong performance. This appears to be influenced by the news that its in-house studio-produced female-oriented romance webtoon, "If I Am Loved by a High-Spec Prince (ハイスペ王子に溺愛されたら)," was released on Japan's LINE Manga on July 26 and ranked first in the new releases ranking on its first day.

As of 9:23 a.m. on August 21, Topco Media was trading at 2,865 won, up 440 won (18.14%) from the previous trading day.

"If I Am Loved by a High-Spec Prince" quickly drew attention from Japanese readers by ranking 23rd in the overall ranking and 9th in the romance genre ranking immediately after its release. After an exclusive three-month pre-release on LINE Manga, it will be sequentially released on other platforms starting September 26, and the service will be provided under a "wait-to-read-for-free" model.

Topco Media is actively diversifying its portfolio beyond male-oriented content to include female-oriented and a wide range of other genres. This achievement demonstrates that female-oriented works are also competitive in both domestic and international markets.

The company plans to introduce nine new female-oriented webtoons by the end of the year, and to launch more than 20 new works next year to further expand its global readership. In addition, through collaboration with its web novel affiliate Metacraft, it is strengthening its foundation for adapting various themes and stories into webtoons.

Topco Media aims to achieve both readership expansion and revenue growth through this genre diversification strategy. Furthermore, the company expects that the success of its webtoons will create a virtuous cycle, leading to increased web novel readership and growth opportunities for both companies.
