From August 18 to 22, Hyundai set up a dedicated space at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for the event, presenting its vision and execution for realizing a hydrogen society. The company introduced its fully redesigned Nexo model, the first complete overhaul in seven years, and highlighted its hydrogen brand and business platform "HTWO," along with its vision for a hydrogen society, hydrogen production technology, and current demonstration projects.
Hyundai used this opportunity to communicate its vision and technological leadership as a pioneering company driving the entire hydrogen industry, including hydrogen mobility, to global scholars and key figures in academia. The company also presented the tangible reality of a sustainable society based on hydrogen energy.
In addition, Hyundai shared examples such as the "Chungju Resource Circulation Hydrogen Production Facility," which utilizes the group’s biogas production and hydrogen extraction technology, and the "Jeonbuk Buan Water Electrolysis-Based Hydrogen Production Base," which uses technology to produce, store, and supply hydrogen by electrolyzing water with electricity.
A Hyundai representative said, "We hope that Hyundai’s vision for realizing a sustainable society through hydrogen mobility will be more widely shared through this exhibition. As this is a global event attended by renowned economists from around the world, we also hope that the potential of the Nexo, which will lead the hydrogen mobility industry, will resonate on the international stage."
