Kim Geonhee is scheduled to appear before the special prosecutor team led by Min Jungki for questioning again at 2 p.m. on August 21.
The special prosecutor's office announced this to the media on August 19.
This will be Kim's third summons for questioning since her detention on August 12. She previously appeared for questioning on August 14 and August 18. Although she was notified to appear on August 20, Kim submitted a handwritten statement explaining that she could not attend due to health reasons.

The upcoming session on August 21 is expected to focus on allegations involving Geonjinbeopsa and the Unification Church. In previous sessions, the special prosecutor's team addressed suspicions regarding Myung Taegyun's involvement in candidate nominations and the alleged stock price manipulation of Deutsche Motors.
Kim is accused of violating the Political Funds Act by allegedly receiving polling results free of charge on 58 occasions from so-called "political broker" Myung Taegyun during the 2022 presidential election, and in return, exerting influence to have former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Youngsun nominated in a parliamentary by-election.
Additionally, she faces charges of violating the Capital Markets Act for allegedly participating in the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case between 2009 and 2012, as well as charges of receiving bribes under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes for allegedly accepting an expensive necklace and requests related to church matters from the Unification Church through Jeon Seongbae, also known as Geonjinbeopsa.
Meanwhile, the pretrial detention hearing for Jeon, for whom the special prosecutor's team requested an arrest warrant on August 19, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on August 21. Jeon is accused of receiving an expensive necklace and requests related to church matters from Yoon, the former global head of the Unification Church, and delivering them to Kim.
