Yeongam County Requests Consent from Vacant House Owners... Plans Registration on Vacant House Bank and Greendaero The consent method for rural vacant house transactions will be conducted both online and offline. Provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs

Yeongam County in South Jeolla Province has requested the participation of vacant house owners in consenting to transactions as part of the 'Support Project for Revitalizing Rural Vacant House Transactions.' This measure aims to utilize neglected rural vacant houses as resources for regional revitalization.

This project will proceed by obtaining the consent of vacant house owners and registering the properties for sale on both the 'Yeongam County Vacant House Bank' and the main return-to-farming and rural migration portal, 'Greendaero,' thereby facilitating transactions.

In April, the county selected six local partner real estate agents to handle property listings and has launched an active promotional campaign, viewing owner consent as the key to the project's success.

Accordingly, on August 19, the county will send out a 'transaction consent notice' to vacant house owners and will also send mobile text messages. There are two consent methods: offline and online.

Following this transaction consent notice, the county plans to upgrade the property search function of the Vacant House Bank by early next month, restructuring the system to establish it as a regional vacant house utilization platform.

Prospective returnees to farming or rural life will be able to check information on the Yeongam County Vacant House Bank or Greendaero after the owner's consent and the property registration by a certified real estate agent.

Shin Hwanjong, head of Yeongam County's Urban Design Division, stated, "Revitalizing vacant house transactions begins with the consent and participation of the owners," and added, "We ask for your interest and involvement so that neglected vacant houses can be used as resources for community revitalization."
