A Celebration of Graduates and a Pledge for New Beginnings
Kyung Hee University will hold the 2024 Summer Commencement Ceremony on August 20 at the Peace Hall and Seonseung-gwan on its main campus.

During this ceremony, a total of 3,332 degrees will be conferred, including 195 doctoral degrees, 1,472 master's degrees, and 1,665 bachelor's degrees.
The commencement ceremony will proceed in the following order: graduation address, conferral of degrees (bachelor's, master's, doctoral), presentation of the Outstanding Academic Award, graduate's response, and celebratory events such as congratulatory performances and the singing of the school anthem.
Kyung Hee University President Kim Jinsang has prepared a congratulatory speech titled "The Path of Outstanding Global Citizens Who Illuminate the World," encouraging graduates as they take their first steps into society. He will also share insights on the mindset required in the era of artificial general intelligence, which surpasses human intelligence.
Kyung Hee University will set up photo zones for graduates in front of the main building fountain on the Seoul Campus, at the Square of Contemplation in front of the Central Library on the Global Campus, and other locations. For students unable to attend the ceremony, a video website will also be operated.
In addition, the commencement ceremony website will provide a live broadcast of the event and post congratulatory messages from each college.
Notably, the Department of Big Data Application in the School of Management, which was first established in the 2022 academic year, has produced its first graduates a semester early. Sim Minjun, a student from the class of 2022 who graduated early, plans to enter a related graduate school in the future.
Meanwhile, on this day, the commencement ceremony will be held at the Peace Hall on the Seoul Campus and at Seonseung-gwan on the Global Campus, respectively.
