Suncheon Police Station awarded a certificate of appreciation and a reward for reporting to Heo, an employee at the Shindae branch of Suncheon NongHyup, for preventing a high-value investment fraud.

On July 28, Heo noticed a customer in their 60s displaying signs of nervousness. When the customer attempted to transfer 80 million won, Heo checked the customer's KakaoTalk messages, which promised high returns for investing 80 million won, and immediately reported the situation to the police.

Thanks to Heo's prompt action, the transfer of 80 million won was stopped, successfully preventing the fraud in advance.

An official from Suncheon Police Station stated, "We plan to improve and strengthen our cooperation system with financial institutions to expedite verification procedures for customers withdrawing large amounts of cash, provide education and publicity to prevent investment fraud and voice phishing, and share information on fraud cases."
