Fragrance Lasts for "28 Days" After Using a Dryer
On August 19, LG Household & Health Care announced that its laundry detergent brand Tech has partnered with Emart to launch a new capsule detergent brand, "Tech Supercaps."
Tech is LG Household & Health Care's detergent brand, which released Korea's first laundry detergent in 1966. Noticing the rapid growth of the capsule detergent market, the company collaborated with Emart to introduce a lineup of six Tech Supercaps products, featuring excellent cleaning performance and a distinctive brand identity.
All six Tech Supercaps products share the convenience of a capsule format and strong cleaning power. In particular, they can easily remove 150 types of stains commonly encountered by Koreans, such as red sauce, pork belly grease, and various condiments, even without pre-washing. The lingering fragrance lasts up to 28 days after using a dryer, providing a high level of satisfaction.
The flagship products in the six-product lineup are "Baking Soda + Citric Acid" and "Scent Max." "Baking Soda + Citric Acid," which offers the strongest cleaning power, is a capsule detergent containing real baking soda and citric acid powder. It removes not only stubborn stains but also the so-called five major odors, including pillow, sweat, and foot odors, as well as age-related hormonal body odors.
The long-lasting fragrance line, "Scent Max," features the world's first application in Korea of a global fragrance company's "biodegradable fragrance capsule technology," which protects the scent even after using a dryer. As a result, users can enjoy a rich and luxurious fragrance for a long time after washing, even without fabric softener. The Supercaps lineup also includes "Wool Dry," which enables powerful yet delicate wool washing; "Power Deep Clean," optimized for small loads; and "Indoor Dry," which contains deodorizing ingredients to help eliminate musty odors.
The package design features a renewed version of the "Tech Boy" character, which gained popularity in TV commercials over a decade ago, now reimagined as "Tech Boys." By utilizing the friendly yet sophisticated Tech Boys design, Supercaps aims to create new emotional connections with customers.
The Tech brand manager at LG Household & Health Care stated, "Through this collaboration, which combines LG Household & Health Care's top-tier technology with Emart's distribution expertise, we were able to launch a laundry detergent that satisfies both functionality and emotion," adding, "Tech will continue to address customers' laundry concerns and lead the way in providing a differentiated laundry experience."
The six Tech Supercaps products are available at Emart offline stores nationwide, with a launch promotion of "12,950 won 2+1 event" running from August 14. They are also available for purchase on SSG.com.
