Dongkook Pharmaceutical (CEO Song Junho) and the Global Sharing Movement (Chairperson Kim Hyekyung) are recruiting participants for the environmental action project, "Madeca Pharmacia Global Ssol Ssol Eco Challengers." This project aims to nurture activists in line with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and will take place in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a symbol of the division of the Korean Peninsula.
The recruitment is open to 30 young people aged 19 to under 30, and the application period runs until the 24th of this month. Participants will complete team missions, such as creating environmental protection content that combines Dongkook Pharmaceutical's "Madeca Pharmacia" products with the theme of biodiversity.
The Global Sharing Movement Eco Challengers was designed to train activists for biodiversity conservation, specifically focusing on Goals 14 and 15 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After successfully completing the first generation last year, the second generation is being held this year in collaboration with Dongkook Pharmaceutical.
This second round of activities is a practical project linking SDG Goal 15 (biodiversity) with corporate branding, and is characterized by hands-on environmental conservation experiences in the symbolic setting of the DMZ.

Kim Hyekyung, Chairperson of the Global Sharing Movement, stated, "This Eco Challengers program is not just a one-time experience, but a long-term initiative that helps young people continuously practice environmental protection and sharing in their daily lives." She added, "It will be a valuable opportunity to directly experience the importance of environmental conservation and take action in the unique setting of the DMZ."
Song Junho, CEO of Dongkook Pharmaceutical, commented, "Through the 'Madeca Pharmacia' brand, Dongkook Pharmaceutical is simultaneously practicing environmental conservation and social contribution." He continued, "I hope this Eco Challengers program will provide young people with firsthand experience of the value of nature and inspire them to take action for the planet and humanity. Moving forward, we will continue to expand various activities that create environmental and social value as part of our ESG management."
