Lunit Partners with LG AI Research Institute to Introduce "EXAONE"

Signing of Business Cooperation Agreement

AI service platform Lunit Technologies announced on the 19th that it has signed a partnership agreement and business cooperation agreement with LG AI Research Institute to introduce the large language model EXAONE as part of the "National AI Competency Enhancement Project."

The two companies have agreed to collaborate in the following areas: utilizing AI-related technologies and content in the field of education; planning and providing educational services to improve AI literacy; and exploring the practical usability and application environments of AI technologies.

Woo-Hyung Lim, Co-Director of LG AI Research Institute, stated, "We will actively leverage the advanced technology of EXAONE to enhance national AI competency, and through our collaboration with Lunit Technologies, a leading domestic AI service company, we aim to drive user-centric innovation."

EXAONE 4.0, released by LG AI Research Institute on July 15, ranked first among Korean models and within the global top 10 in the Intelligence Index assessment conducted by Artificial Analysis, a global AI performance evaluation agency.

Lunit plans to maximize synergies within the K-AI technology company ecosystem by actively utilizing LG AI Research Institute's EXAONE model and FuriosaAI's second-generation AI inference accelerator, "RNGD (Renegade)," in the upcoming National AI Competency Enhancement Project.
