At approximately 11:47 a.m. on August 18, a military vehicle overturned on a road in Baekseok-ri, Misan-myeon, Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, resulting in injuries to eight people.
According to the Northern Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters, all occupants of the Humvee involved in the accident were injured.
It was reported that six of them managed to escape from the vehicle on their own.
The police, fire authorities, and the military plan to conduct an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
