Yeongam County and Sehan University Launch Training to Enhance Senior Care Assistants' Competencies Yeongam County Office.

Yeongam County in South Jeolla Province has partnered with Sehan University to provide training for care assistants, aiming to strengthen on-site expertise in its senior customized care program.


The county announced on the 19th that it will hold a "Senior Manager Competency Enhancement Training" every Tuesday and Thursday at the Senior Citizens' Center from August 19 to September 11. A total of 180 care assistants will participate in this program.


This training is part of efforts to establish a regionally tailored health care system. Professors from Sehan University will lead hands-on, practical sessions focusing on health coaching skills and emergency response methods. Through this initiative, the county plans to further enhance care assistants' abilities in senior health management, emergency response, and overall daily care, thereby improving the quality of on-site services.


Additionally, based on this collaboration, the county and Sehan University will launch the "Filial Piety Welfare Village Project" from September to December, providing customized welfare services by visiting local villages.


Yu Mikyung, head of the Yeongam County Integrated Care Promotion Team, stated, "We will work to enhance the professionalism of senior care personnel and build a sustainable care network through the Filial Piety Welfare Village initiative," adding, "We will do our utmost to create an environment where all county residents can live healthily and safely."
