The Siheung Baegot Seoul National University Hospital is a next-generation medical facility that integrates clinical care and research functions, serving as the core flagship institution of the Gyeonggi Siheung Bio-specialized Complex.

The hospital will be built with a total project cost of KRW 587.2 billion on a 67,000-square-meter site within Seoul National University's Siheung Campus at 248 Baegot-dong. The facility will consist of one basement level and twelve above-ground floors. It will house a total of 800 beds and operate 27 clinical departments. Six specialized medical centers, including a Cancer Center, Maternal and Child Center, and Neurocardiovascular Center, will also be established. The hospital is scheduled to open in 2029.

The hospital's groundbreaking follows four failed contractor bids due to rising raw material costs, with the project gaining momentum after a contract was signed with the Hyundai Engineering & Construction consortium in December of last year.

Meanwhile, the hospital plans to collaborate with Seoul National University’s Siheung AI Campus to establish an intelligent clinical system based on the Patient Decision Support System (PDSS), which will assist patients in making their own medical decisions, automate hospital administrative operations, and strengthen non-face-to-face medical services.

In addition, the hospital aims to establish advanced research and development (R&D) infrastructure and a demonstration environment, and to serve as a hub for technology validation and medical industrialization by connecting with bio-companies engaged in medical device and new drug development within the Siheung Bio-specialized Complex.
