Special Sales from August 18 to 31
Boosting the Local Economy Expected
On August 18, Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it will temporarily increase the purchase limit for the Hamyang Sarang Gift Certificate to boost the local economy and reduce the financial burden on residents during the peak summer season.
Under this measure, the monthly purchase limit for the gift certificate will increase from 700,000 won to 1 million won. The limit for paper certificates will remain at 300,000 won, while the limit for mobile certificates will be raised from 400,000 won to 700,000 won. The discount rate will remain unchanged at 10%.
The special sales period will run for two weeks, from August 18 to August 31. When used together with the livelihood recovery consumption coupons, which have been distributed since July, this is expected to significantly stimulate local consumption and provide a tangible boost to the sales of small businesses in the area.
County Governor Jin Byungyoung stated, "We aim to invigorate the local economy through two key initiatives: the expansion of the livelihood recovery consumption coupons and the increased issuance of the Hamyang Sarang Gift Certificate." He added, "I hope that raising the purchase limit will provide meaningful benefits that residents and small business owners can truly feel."
Meanwhile, Hamyang County plans to continue implementing effective policies that residents and small business owners can experience firsthand by expanding the number of affiliated stores for the Hamyang Sarang Gift Certificate and operating various related programs.
