According to Seoul Metro, Jeonjangyeon staged a subway boarding protest on the Myeongdong Station platform starting at 7:30 a.m., resulting in a standoff with the company. In response, Seoul Metro operated 18 northbound trains and 16 southbound trains as non-stop trains through the station starting at 8:32 a.m.
At approximately 9:27 a.m., Seoul Metro forcibly removed the protesters. Five minutes later, at 9:32 a.m., regular train operations resumed. The protest, which coincided with the morning rush hour, caused significant inconvenience for commuters.
On the social networking service X (formerly Twitter), a series of complaints were posted, such as "I need to get off at Myeongdong Station, but this is frustrating," and "Because of the protest, I got off at Hoehyeon and had to walk. I'm going to be late."
Jeonjangyeon announced that, starting today, it plans to continue its morning subway campaign at 7:30 a.m. every day to demand the guarantee of budgetary rights for people with disabilities.
