Approximately 150 people were evacuated after a fire broke out in a vehicle parked in the underground parking lot of Homeplus in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
At around 11:29 a.m. on August 17, a fire started in the hood of a van parked on the first basement level of the Homeplus parking lot in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
As a result of the fire, one person was transported to the hospital after inhaling smoke, and approximately 150 people inside the building were urgently evacuated.
The fire authorities brought the blaze under control in about 20 minutes and carried out ventilation operations. They are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
