The Namdo International Gourmet Expo Secretariat recently released a mukbang content video in collaboration with Matsuda, a popular YouTuber with 1.21 million subscribers and the expo’s official ambassador. The video features a Namdo Hansangcharim prepared by a master artisan, paired with traditional liquor, and has attracted significant public attention.

The video was created to widely promote the 2025 Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo, which will be held from October 1 to 26 at the Mokpo Culture and Arts Center. Through Matsuda’s vivid descriptions of taste, the video aims to introduce the flavors and charm of Namdo cuisine to all age groups, including the MZ generation.

In the video, Matsuda is seen enjoying the Namdo Hansangcharim prepared by a master artisan, paired with representative local alcoholic beverages.

In particular, each dish and drink pairing highlights the unique flavors of Namdo: Yeonggwang Beopseongpo’s “Gulbi Bopuragi” is matched with Naju’s “Dado Chamjuga Saeng Makgeolli,” known for its smooth taste; Muan’s “Nakjitangtangi” is paired with Jangseong’s “Jangseongmanri,” noted for its savory flavor; Mokpo’s seasonal “Min-eojeon” is complemented by Gwangyang’s “Seomjingang Baramsul,” which has a subtle aroma; and Damyang’s “Tteokgalbi” is harmonized with Damyang’s rich “Chuseongju.” These pairings further enhance the appeal and taste of Namdo cuisine.

Matsuda enthusiastically recommended visiting the expo, stating, “I hope you will come to the Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo in Mokpo and experience Namdo’s culinary culture firsthand. Even if Namdo feels far away, just one step will let you enjoy the gourmet feast that Namdo has to offer.”

Immediately after the video was released, positive reactions followed, such as “I really want to visit the expo,” and “I should go on a gourmet trip to Mokpo.” Interest and inquiries about event programs, including the Namdo Liquor Festa, have also been increasing.

Hong Yanghyun, head of the Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo Secretariat, commented, “This video serves as a pre-promotion content that not only highlights the harmony between Namdo cuisine and traditional liquor, but also conveys the appeal of the expo in advance. We hope this video will further boost interest in the expo.”

Matsuda’s video can be viewed on the expo’s official YouTube and Instagram channels, and detailed information about the main programs is available on the official website.
