An event aimed at expanding global market access and generating tangible export results for outstanding companies from Daejeon was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Daejeon Technopark participated in the '2025 Mega Earth Expo' held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 14, serving as an opportunity to further expand technology and industry exchanges between the two countries.

This expo is hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of Korea and the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, and is co-organized by 25 Korean innovation institutions and universities, among others.

In conjunction with the expo, Daejeon Technopark signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB), an organization under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology that fosters businesses, to support the entry of Daejeon companies into the Vietnamese market.

Established in 2016, SIHUB serves as a central hub for the innovation ecosystem in southern Vietnam. Through the agreement, the two organizations plan to strengthen cooperation to achieve tangible overseas expansion results, including business exchanges and export support, sharing of local networks, and linking commercialization and investment attraction.

At the '2025 Mega Earth Expo,' Daejeon Technopark is supporting the overseas market expansion and investment attraction of participating Daejeon companies, including Mirtec R&D (smart component inspection sockets), Abrams (self-regenerating air purification devices), Y2Line (ovens for semiconductor production), EZTech (health snacks and functional products), and CHC Lab (biosafety workbenches). The organization is actively expanding overseas channels for Daejeon companies by operating exhibition booths, facilitating business matching and consultations, running investment attraction programs for local venture capitalists, and organizing Korea-Vietnam institutional networking events.

Now in its fourth year, the Mega Earth Expo has established itself as a leading business exchange event between Korea and Vietnam, with approximately 10,000 visitors and 250 export MOUs totaling $44 million signed during last year's event.

This year’s expo will feature participation from around 150 companies from Korea and Vietnam, and will run for three days until August 16.

Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon Technopark, stated, "Cooperation with SIHUB will serve as a solid bridgehead for Daejeon companies to enter the Southeast Asian market and as an opportunity to further expand technology and industry exchanges between Korea and Vietnam. Starting with this expo, we will spare no effort to support the global market expansion and tangible export achievements of outstanding Daejeon companies."
