Recruitment Open Until August 25

Jeollanam-do to Support Future Growth Venture and Startup R&D and Demonstration Jeonnam Provincial Government Office View

Jeollanam-do announced that it is accepting applications for the "Future Growth Venture and Startup R&D and Demonstration Support Program" until August 25, aiming to systematically support the commercialization of local companies' technologies and increase their business success rates.

This program, supported by Jeollanam-do and managed by Jeonnam Technopark, was launched for the first time this year to help promising local startups achieve visible results in the market based on their research and development achievements.

The program targets the commercialization of technologies by early-stage startups, supporting all processes including field testing of prototypes on the verge of market entry, quality improvement, and technology and product certification.

A total of three projects will be selected, with up to 82.5 million won provided per project (80 million won for demonstration and 2.5 million won for certification). Eligible applicants are companies established for at least six months but less than seven years, with headquarters or research centers located in Jeollanam-do, and which have received a "successful" evaluation in R&D support programs from central government ministries or Jeollanam-do.

Applications can be submitted either individually or as part of a consortium with universities, research institutes, or companies within or outside the region.

Details on how to apply and other information can be found in the program announcement posted on the websites of Jeollanam-do and Jeonnam Technopark.

Kim Gihong, Director of the Strategic Industry Bureau of Jeollanam-do, stated, "As this program is being introduced for the first time in Jeollanam-do, it will serve as a catalyst to help venture and startup companies with promising technologies improve their business success rates and grow into strong small and medium-sized enterprises. We will continue to actively support high-potential local companies so they can become key players in future technology-based industries."
