On August 14, SK AX announced that its standalone sales for the second quarter reached 650.5 billion won, up 3.2% from the same period last year, while operating profit rose 58.5% year-on-year to 51.1 billion won.

For the first half of this year (January to June), standalone sales totaled 1.2335 trillion won and operating profit was 79 billion won, representing increases of 0.4% and 32.1%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, reflecting improved profitability.

SK AX continued to deliver stable results by focusing on its core growth pillars: digital manufacturing innovation, digital transformation (DX) in the financial sector, and industry-specific artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud transformation, all as part of its AI Transformation (AX) business.

In particular, SK AX explained that operational improvements centered on customers, which began last year, as well as company-wide productivity enhancement activities using AI tools, have driven its performance.

The company is prioritizing the identification of areas in each industry where AI can deliver tangible results, and is working to implement these as field-oriented application models. Moving beyond simple automation, SK AX is redesigning customer business structures and processes based on AI through the adoption of intelligent, self-judging and self-executing AI, known as 'Agentic AI.' This approach is now expanding to the integration of AI into core management systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP).

In the manufacturing sector, SK AX is building a 'digital manufacturing innovation model' where AI learns the expertise of skilled workers and converts it into digital assets, and is rapidly applying AX to logistics, a key factor in factory operation efficiency. In the financial sector, SK AX is providing advanced AI-based platforms and services to major banks and securities firms.

Additionally, in industry-specific AI and cloud transformation projects, the company is enhancing clients' digital work environments by combining customized AX models with cloud-based business platforms.

An SK AX representative stated, "We will continue to expand our references across major industries such as manufacturing, finance, and the public sector, and strive to become the leading AX partner that shapes our clients' futures through innovative AI and cloud-integrated models."
