Bithumb Reports 329.2 Billion KRW in First-Half 2025 Sales, Maintaining Growth Trend

On August 14, Bithumb disclosed its performance results for the second quarter and the first half of 2025 through its semiannual report.

For the first half of the year, Bithumb recorded sales of 329.2 billion KRW, representing a 35.5% increase compared to the same period last year, continuing its growth trend. Bithumb attributed these results to an improved market environment, strengthened customer promotions, enhanced user convenience, increased user numbers, and expanded market share.

Operating profit was 90.1 billion KRW, and net profit for the half-year was 55 billion KRW, marking decreases of 5.7% and 46.5%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Bithumb explained that this was due to active efforts to enhance user benefits, which began in the second half of the previous year, as well as costs related to losses on virtual asset valuation.

For the second quarter, Bithumb reported sales of 134.4 billion KRW, operating profit of 21.5 billion KRW, and net profit of 22 billion KRW.

A Bithumb representative stated, "We have achieved significant results in terms of external growth and market share expansion through increased influx of new members and service sophistication," adding, "In the second half of the year, we will continue our efforts to become an exchange that satisfies customer needs with industry-leading services."
