LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo's First-Half Compensation at 4.7 Billion Won... Down 1.1 Billion Won from Last Year

LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo received a total compensation of 4,714 million won in the first half of this year.

According to the semiannual report disclosed by LG Corp. on August 14, Chairman Koo received 2,380 million won in salary and 2,334 million won in bonuses. This represents a decrease of 1,125 million won (19.27%) compared to the 5,839 million won he received in the first half of last year.

LG Corp. stated that it took into account the increasingly challenging business environment, which has been affected by intensified global trade friction, geopolitical conflicts leading to market contraction, supply chain instability, and heightened uncertainties both domestically and internationally, such as high inflation and high exchange rates.

The company further explained that, from a long-term perspective, the compensation reflected Chairman Koo's contributions to advancing the business structure to identify future growth engines, enhancing business competitiveness, and strengthening the development of business leaders.

During the same period, LG Corp. Vice Chairman Kwon Bong-seok received a total of 1,858 million won, including 938 million won in salary and 920 million won in bonuses. President Ha Beom-jong received a total of 781 million won, consisting of 474 million won in salary and 307 million won in bonuses.

Chairman Koo has also been actively engaged in overseas management activities, including attending the Korea-Czech Business Forum held in Prague, Czech Republic, in September of last year.
