Information Session on August 19
Comprehensive Overview of Price Elasticity System and Quality Certification
The Busan Social Service Institute (Director Yoo Kyuwon) announced on August 14 that it will hold an information session on August 19 for social service providers in the Busan area, introducing the updates to the 'Busan Community Social Service Investment Project' website.
The core of this update is to enhance user-centered information accessibility and to expand the functions for comparing and selecting service quality among institutions.
The aim is to resolve the inconvenience caused by previously limited information on service providers, which forced users to rely on recommendations from acquaintances or guidance from administrative agencies, and to create a more transparent and objective environment for making choices.
The revamped website will include detailed information such as: the GIS-based locations of providers; the educational background and qualifications of staff; whether the institution has received quality certification from the city of Busan; and quality assessment grades. In particular, the status of the 'Price Elasticity System' will be reflected, allowing users to easily check how out-of-pocket costs vary depending on the service details and staff experience.
The 'Price Elasticity System' is a policy that applies differentiated costs based on service quality and staff competency, aiming to broaden user choice and improve access to high-quality services. In addition, the newly established 'Provider Bulletin Board' will serve as a channel to strengthen communication with institutions and share information on social service operations and staff training updates.
Director Yoo Kyuwon stated, "We have created an environment where citizens can directly choose services that meet their needs and circumstances," adding, "We will continue to expand the user-centered social service delivery system."
Details of the website update can be found on the Busan Community Social Service Support Group website.
