As of 6:30 p.m. on August 13, the Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heavy rain advisory for Suwon, Anyang, Gwangmyeong, Gunpo, Uiwang, and Gwacheon.
A heavy rain advisory is issued when rainfall is expected to exceed 60mm over three hours or 110mm over twelve hours.
Under these conditions, it is difficult to stay dry even with an umbrella, and there is a heightened risk of flooding, including river overflows, so extra caution is required.
Currently, a heavy rain warning remains in effect for 11 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, including Goyang.
