Gumi City Council Fiscal Analysis Research Association Conducts Interim Review of Sound Fiscal Solutions This research project will be conducted over approximately five months, and specific policy recommendations and implementation plans will be presented at the final report meeting scheduled for October.

Since its launch in June, the research group has been conducting a thorough analysis of the revenue and expenditure structure and the operational status of Gumi City's local finances. The interim report meeting was attended by members of the research group, researchers from the Nara Salim Research Institute?the organization carrying out the study?and relevant public officials, who shared the research findings to date and discussed future tasks.

Kim Yuri, lead researcher at the Nara Salim Research Institute, presented analysis results focusing on the following areas: ▲refinement of the revenue and expenditure management system, ▲assessment of fiscal autonomy and soundness, ▲optimization of fund management, and ▲review of budget execution validity. She particularly emphasized the need to pursue both revenue expansion and expenditure structure optimization simultaneously.

Chu Eunhee, the representative council member, stated, "Efficient fiscal management is key to a city's competitiveness," adding, "We will develop effective policy alternatives that rationally allocate limited resources and establish a stable long-term fiscal foundation."
