A New Collaboration for Premium Traditional Liquor
Gyeongnam Nonghyup and Malgeunnaeil Launch Rice-Based Spirits Made with Local Ingredients

Gyeongnam Nonghyup held an official launch event at the Gimhae Distribution Center for two premium traditional liquors, "Masan Jeongjong" and "Unam 25," which were jointly developed with Malgeunnaeil, a local company specializing in traditional liquor, using rice produced in Gyeongnam.

This traditional liquor launch marks the first collaborative achievement between Gyeongnam Nonghyup, which led the planning, and Malgeunnaeil, a local company responsible for product development. The initiative is gaining attention as a model that simultaneously drives value-added creation in Gyeongnam agriculture and the modernization of traditional liquor.


Through this project, Gyeongnam Nonghyup is establishing an integrated distribution and branding model that enables both farmers and local businesses to grow together. The company also plans to accelerate the expansion of processing and distribution using local rice in the future.


The event, held on August 12, was attended by about 20 people, including Jeong Younghee, Senior Specialist (Gyeongnam Provincial Council Agriculture, Oceans, and Fisheries Specialist Office), Seo Yangkwon, Manager (Gyeongsangnam-do Agricultural Food Distribution Division), as well as officials from related organizations and Nonghyup representatives.


Ryu Gilnyeon, Head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, stated, "We hope that the traditional liquor unveiled today will become a successful example of collaboration between Nonghyup and local businesses, serving as a new model for expanding local rice consumption and increasing farm income."


Starting with this collaboration, Gyeongnam Nonghyup plans to develop a variety of value-added products using local agricultural products and contribute to the substantial income growth of farmers by linking agriculture, distribution, and branding.
