Chungnam Institute Hosts 'Future Policy Colloquium' in Response to New Government Policy Agenda

The Chungnam Institute will host the "Chungnam Future Policy Colloquium" to present leading policy directions for Chungnam Province in line with the new government's announcement of national policy tasks.


The institute announced on August 13 that the forum was organized to actively respond to global economic uncertainties and domestic and international issues, and to enhance the feasibility of regional pledges proposed by Chungnam Province.


The event will be held under seven themes from August 20 to September 12.


The main schedule includes: ▲ August 20, "Government Science and Technology Policy and Chungnam-Specialized R&D Initiatives"; ▲ August 28, "Strengthening the Competitiveness of the Chungcheong Megacity with a Five-Pole, Three-Specialization Focus" and "Region-Led Industry and Regional Revitalization Policies"; ▲ September 4, "Plans for a Safe and Happy Chungnam"; ▲ September 5, "New Government Agricultural Policy and Restructuring Chungnam's Agricultural Policy"; ▲ September 11, "West Coast Environmental Crisis and Policy Transition Tasks"; and ▲ September 12, "Strategies for Responding to Climate and Biodiversity Crises."


The forum will consist of keynote presentations and expert panel discussions. Participants will include policy advisory committee members, national research institutes, the Chungnam Provincial Council, Chungnam provincial government departments, and academic experts from various fields.


Jeon Heekyung, President of the Chungnam Institute, stated, "Chungnam is poised to become a hub for realizing the national vision across diverse industries such as eco-friendly smart agriculture, decarbonized renewable energy, marine leisure and tourism, and future mobility. Through this forum, we aim to develop actionable policy proposals and ensure they are reflected in the government's national policy agenda."
