A resident who left a note threatening to stab someone with a weapon if a parking violation sticker was attached to his car has been apprehended by police at an apartment complex in Seo-gu, Gwangju.

On August 12, the Gwangju Seo Police Station announced that a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, has been booked without detention on charges of attempted intimidation.

Mr. A is accused of attaching a note to the window of his illegally parked car at an apartment complex in Hwajeong-dong, Seo-gu, at around 4:30 a.m. on July 28. The note read, "If you put a sticker on my car, I will find you and stab your stomach with a weapon."

Mr. A, a resident of the apartment, had previously parked illegally in the complex's parking lot. After the management office repeatedly attached illegal parking stickers to his car, he committed this act, according to the investigation.

Mr. A initially denied leaving the note when questioned by police, but officers secured CCTV footage from the apartment complex showing him attaching the note. After confirming the circumstances of the crime, police apprehended Mr. A at his residence that afternoon.

Meanwhile, police considered charging Mr. A with public intimidation. However, since the victim of the note was not an unspecified or large number of people, but specifically the management office, the charge of attempted intimidation was applied instead.
