On August 12, the city of Uijeongbu in Gyeonggi Province announced that Mayor Donggeun Kim received a plaque of appreciation from the Uijeongbu Disabled Welfare Center (Director Kyungju Song) in recognition of his contributions to the development of welfare for people with disabilities in the region, marking the center’s 21st anniversary.

At the presentation ceremony held in the mayor’s office that day, Director Kyungju Song stated, “Thanks to the mayor’s warm interest and dedicated efforts, the lives of people with disabilities in Uijeongbu have noticeably improved,” and added, “I will continue to do my best to ensure that people with disabilities can live happily in the future.”
